What is Speaking Plus?
SLC Speaking Plus is an online English speaking lesson provided to Japanese high school students to improve students’ real English communication skills. We started this service from 2019 as a trial project through collaboration from our project partners in Japan, and in April 2022, we now officially provide this service to students from all over Japan.
History and Achievements
- Employees : The company has hired 20 full/part timers in total in Camiguin since 2019 and we are hiring more every year
- Speaking Plus : About 5,000 lessons to 2,700 students have been provided as of end of November 2022 ; we are expecting to reach 10,000 lessons by the end of March 2023 and expanding our services more every year

Hi! My name is Krizza, and I'm from Camiguin Island, Philippines. I took up a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English. I’ve been working at 100 Corp. since 2019 as an online English tutor and a SLC corrector. As a tutor, I face numerous challenges when dealing with students of various intelligences. Japanese students are both slow and fast learners. However, seeing my students learn and enjoy my lesson is such a big achievement for me. Hi! I am Angel, one of the tutors in Speaking Plus. I joined as a tutor way back in 2019. Being a tutor, I have lots of experience, and I've been teaching Japanese students for almost four years. In my four years of being a tutor, I've encountered students with diverse personalities, and I can say that only patience and understanding from yourself can help you get through the day, because without patience, you can't make it. I sometimes feel irritated and stressed, but as a teacher, I have to expand my patience and love my students as much as I love my work. I need to understand that these students don't want to feel ashamed during the lessons. But they can't make it perfectly because they are still in the process of learning English. Thus, understanding and patience from me and from other tutors are important to help them become better and become the best English speakers.
